Will he CM4S work in uConsole?

Wondering if the CM4S will work in the uConsole. Will the mainboard wifi work? Will all the ports and ext board work? Thank you for any info.

if you use the search you’ll find multiple people who’ve gotten it to boot in the past, you likely can’t reuse their images because they used the original screen and if you got yours in the last year you have a different screen, but with an updated kernel they should work

I have an older screen. I guess if I do get my hands on one (a CM4S) I will just try one of Rex’s images and see what happens. I can always go back to my CM4 if it doesn’t work.

You can find some operating system images here. Rex’s Debian 13 image will indeed probably work; though it doesn’t explicitly support the CM4S, it does support the CM3.

I’m running Rex’s Trixie on a CM4. I might be getting a CM4S, and with the noted power savings of the CM4S, hoping it will work and help batteries last longer. If it doesn’t I will just go back to the CM4.
