I just discovered that there is a Raspberry Pi CM4s - a CM4 in the form factor of the original CM3.
Not that I need it - but should this not work in the uConsole without the adapter board? Does anyone want to try?

They are very hard to get in anything over 1gb, also there won’t be wifi or bluetooth.
At least one person has done so, and they made an OS for the CM4S. I can’t say for sure if the Debian image also supports the CM4S, however.
The module won’t. But you may be able to access the mainboard’s wireless modules. If you insert a CM3 into the ClockworkPi mainboard, that board’s wireless modules become available. And the CM4S is marketed as an upgrade for the CM3, possibly as a drop-in replacement.
the cm5 was supposed to be a drop in replacement too.
GOAT Rex says it is (except there are no audio drivers yet): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0rRBf5toQGo
I’ve spent hours trying to source a 4s without luck, even a 4GB model would have been worth a try for me. The best I found was 15 week lead time and buying 200 minimum, and I’m not going to go into the resale business right now. The 4s has up to 16GB of ram, that would be nice a nice upgrade to the Devterm or uConsole.
and the 50/50 chance of no video on boot.
