3x18650 in standard uConsole Case

I was messing around with the CAD files for the uConsole, trying to see if it would be possible to fit in more (or larger) cells. As it turns out, it would be possible to fit three 18650 batteries without having to modify the case!

It’s quite a snug fit, and I’m not sure I’d be able to find a battery holder that can also fit. But this could be a workable way to upgrade the capacity if you’re happy to weld your own cells in order to make a battery pack.

Would anyone be interested in a solution that can allow the use of three batteries instead of two?

I know @lululvlv is working on a 3x 18650 battery tray.

Doesn’t look like it fits very well :slight_smile:

That’s the problem I’m seeing as well, most comercially available battery holders are about 61mm wide, and there’s only 57.9mm available in the uConsole for that.
