Bookworm 6.12.y for the uConsole and DevTerm

If you are using my image do not apply any custom settings when flashing it will break the image. So if you did that the first time, applying Wi-Fi user/pass then the image won’t work.

The image will also first boot resize the partition then reboot and go into the welcome screen.

Why not use the antenna connector on the cpi and that antenna connector is used for non cm4 cores because the don’t have Wi-Fi but I am not sure this will work.

Why does applying costume settings break the os.

That WiFi card is only accessible for the CM3 or Clockwork made cores. the CM4/5 is not physically connected to that WiFi chip.

The combination of compression/expansion of the image, and custom kernel.

Thanks for the info.

Where did the other usb port go and why is the power connector on the back of the pi?

Just use a usb Wi-Fi dongle.

That’s not a regular pi. It’s a carrier board for a CM.

Thought it was a pi but I looked closer and I saw an other pcb under the cm. But thanks for the info.

it’s also the original spot for the pi power cable, the first pi had connectors on all sides

Sorry for the question, if i buy a cm5 IO Board, it is compatible for the cm4 also?

No, the cm5 io board does not work with the cm4, but the cm5 will work in a cm4 IO board. At least with the official raspberry pi IO boards.

Thank you. I will buy a cm4 ioboard and a cm5.

Hello, does uConsoles 4g work with the cm5? I just ordered a uConsole but read somewhere that it only supports the 4g with the cm4. Not sure if it works now with the cm5. I can change my order if it doesnt work.

I don’t have the 4G card but reports are it does work with the CM5.

Awesome! Thank you for the speedy reply. Makes me happy my uConsole will work with the 4g then.

it’s just a USB 4g module with a short script to turn it on separately via GPIO, nothing that should prevent it working on cm5

Hello, I tried your latest bookworm Image with a CM5 and Uconsole. First, thank your for your had work ! However, enabling overlay mode in raspi-config does not work, even if the option seems to be set in raspi-config.

This seems to be somewhat related to a initramfs eror and your custom kernel.

Any idea on how to resolve that issue ?

Best regards and thanj you for your time.
