So I browse so on X and found this x.com
then your look closely you can see that have the name picocalc.
So clockworkpi what is can I buy or the would it be released?

Looks cool, but still prefer my uconsole!
Great, a new product! Wish they could ship the stuff that many of us have been waiting for!
I’m guessing the benefit would be it looks somewhat smaller (though maybe about the same depth/thickness?), and the battery life would last a very long time. But it would lack performance. Still, the Pico should be able to handle some stuff, like emulators for older handhelds and consoles, and some command line stuff.
I wonder how the Pico compares in performance to the R0-1? Neither one would be good for running a graphical desktop or a (modern) web browser, but they’re probably both great command line only setups. This PicoCalc might be a nice, smaller, alternate for that scenario. Would be interesting to see how battery life compares between the two as well.
Kind of like comparing apples and oranges (SOC vs MCU).
I think it’s not a uconsole replacement it rather an programming device for electronics, SD cards or audio.
Looks neat! The Pico’s not really in the same category as the other Raspberry Pi boards; it’s more of a microcontroller than a SBC that you’d run Debian on.
Could be a handy thing to have at your desk if you’re troubleshooting electronics or prototyping Arduino code.
Put me on the pre order list.
That looks very nice like a advanced calculator and smaller than the original uConsole, but it used the Pico instead of the Pi, I still want the CM4 or higher for practical use, thanks for sharing.

Here is another one too… Imitators
Kickstarter, pretty much I’ll never back another project there.
That a straight ripoff of the reTerminal.
Don’t think I’ve seen the reTerminal before, but the Pilet must have already spent a lot on marketing as I’ve seen it all over the place. Shipping delays aside, ClockworkPi has a good track record on the hardware, but I’m guessing these others are first attempts at devices.
It will be interesting to see where things go with the CM5 and ClockworkPi. I’m still kind of expecting a random post from them at some point announcing either a new uConsole revision for it (along with perhaps some sort of upgrade kit to bring existing uConsoles up to whatever is required). My guess is that will happen right about the time someone posts success getting a CM5 fully working in the existing uConsole shell. Though they usually only do one new product at a time, so maybe the PicoCalc will be the only new thing for a while.
I’m just as interested in the Pilet, but the project hails from Canada. Sounds like I’m gonna have a hard time getting that, compared to you guys in Europe and North America.
I’m loathe to call the Pilet a ripoff, since it accepts the full Raspberry Pi 5, unlike the reTerminal, which accepts a CM4. (CM5, pleeease?) Both appear equally extensible though, which is great for the sake of competition.
I have a reTerminal, haaaaaate it. It’s been relegated to just running klipper for my printer.
The reTerminal came out a year or so before the uConsole was announced. They now have a bigger version as well.
