CM5 + Hackergadget's board + WiFi = Wardriving

Just wanted to share my current hardware setup.
I’m running:

  • CM5 + rex Bookwork image
  • Hackergadget board
  • WiFi dongle hardwired, sporting a RTL8187 chip

I made good use of the extra SMA connector, on the left side, hardwiring a coax cable directly to the WiFi board. I also de-soldered the USB A connection on the board, and soldered it to the “free” pins on the hackergadget’s board. The WiFi stick I had is an old’ish model, however it can be setup in “monitor” mode. Great for wardriving, pentesting, etc…

I saw your reddit post and writeup of applications for the dual Wifi are some great ideas, particularly can see having internet on 1, and testing with the other. Nice setup!

Makes good use of the spare sma connector from the hacker gadgets board.
