Custom 3D Printed Case - Searching for Betatester with 3D Printer

Hi there,

I’ve spent the past few days designing a custom case to protect my precious uConsole from getting scratched in my backpack. I’m now looking for a beta tester with a 3D printer—ideally a Bambu Lab printer—to help test the design before I share it online. This design is done with the hackergadget addon im mind, hence the attachment points for the 4 Antennas.

Cheers,

Michael

Superb realisation, clean and optimised! What material is it printed in?

Hi Kirou, it is done in PLA for now, might change to PETG though.

Nice, very useful. Great job. Need one

I have Prusa MK4s, One, and XL if you want someone to test print in PLA and PETG with various build sheets (smooth, textured, satin).

Very nice.

I’ve got an ender 3 and would like to print out a copy.

hi there, any possibility to send DM in this forum?

Not that I’ve seen.

Looks amazing! I have a PS1 .. would love to give it a print .. I am sure my Uconsole would be happy.

Awesome. If I ever get my Uconsole I want one!

i’m happy to give it a try. i have an AnyCubic. The 4 antenna storage system is really nice.. Would be good to have a little space for additional ethernet dongle as well?

Nice work! Unfortunately I’m away from home, otherwise I would have been happy to do a test print.

Are you going to make other versions?
I’m thinking about one with a transparent acrylic windows on the front, with size similar or equal to the screen. It may be handy in harsh conditions, to see what’s running but not exposing the uConsole to the elements.

Looks great. I have a P1S and print both PLA and PETG HF. Also a TPU seal would be good too.

Hi, I’m happy to try print it!

Thank you for your anwers, Neil was so kind to print it out and test it. And is in fact waiting for the pins to arrive, looks good so far, stay tuned for updates.

Cheers, Michael

I’ve got a P1S and a number of filament types (PLA, ABS, PETG, ASA). While I don’t have that add-on module you noted, I’d be happy to print one out to test for fitment.

Pins arrived and fitted. Very nice design and print. I’ve only got pictures before I fitted the pins, I’ll post the completed version tomorrow.
