This is specific to ham radio but if you remove the board from a digirig it fits inside the uconsole. I purchased some male and female 3.5mm jacks and wired them up so it’s accessible externally. Digirig is the red thing next to the battery module. I slipped it into some large heat shrink tubing so it wouldn’t short on the metal chassis. Short 90 degree USB C to USB C cable. Cuts back on one less cable to carry in the field. No RF issues so far being inside the uconsole.
The antennas on top are all mounted on a basic plate I 3d printed. Typical SMA pigtails off amazon instead of what was shipped with the AIO board.
Picture of the “mod” for those interested.

I have no clue why you put the “mod” in those quotation marks, because thats about as mod as it gets
And must admit i have no clue what a digirig does, but going to google that now
Awesome work!

Digirig is essentially a USB soundcard. It’s used in ham radio to allow digital modes over radio. If you’re into cyberpunk or retro tech it lets you go back to the 80’s and early 90’s when bulletin boards and the internet required acoustic couplers. Check out FT8 or ham radio BBS in your search and you will see what a lot of people are doing. Fun times.
In regards to the “mod” it’s simply because everything I did is plug and play using the usb hub of the AIO board. No hard modifications.
