The display doesn’t turn on for even a second. Previous threads said that flashing a new image on the SD solves the issue, but no luck after two flashes with balenaEtcher (the image is http://dl.clockworkpi.com/uConsole_CM4_v0.1b_xfce_64bit.img.7z from the github).
The 4G module is disconnected to rule that out. My unit is a “uConsole Kit RPI-CM4 Lite” kit so I shouldn’t have a CM4 with a eMMC.
I’ve unplugged/plugged in the ribbon cable several times now. It’s fully seated as far as I can tell and the latch is shut.
Any suggestions? I’m new to Linux and Pi’s so I bought the uConsole to gain some exposure. Just hoping to do that without being tied to a monitor or TV all the time!
Hey, I ran into the same problem with my uConsole Kit. In my case, it was a dodgy ribbon cable connection. I had to unplug and replug it a few times, making sure it was perfectly aligned and securely latched. Also, I found that swapping out the SD card with a new one solved it for me. You might want to double-check your power supply too, just to be sure it’s giving enough power.
How long has the device been on? You may have to look into logs or check if the display is detected. I have a strong feeling you need a replacement. E-mail Clockwork for help.
