Expected ship dates

Curious if anyone knows what the expected time for shipping of both a PicoCalc and a uConsole. The PicoCalc was ordered on June 12th, and the uConsole on May 19th.

you can write email to alex@clockworkpi.com or/and help@clockworkpi.com and ask

also if your uconsole has CM4 module in order it may be smart to write to the same emails and ask to remove (and refund) CM4 from order.

you can ask, and alex will answer, but it doesn’t mean his answers are accurate

i just got a shipping notice for my PicoCalc, order #39845 on June 12, 25.

awaiting shipping notice for uconcole kit order #39718 on June 9, 25.

not in a huge hurry. can wait. if this helps somebody anticipate thier packages arrival

Unfortunately there are still uConsole orders from around April in the 35xxx range that haven’t been fulfilled. Mine is in the 37xxx range. I was told in July it would be in late August, but there has been no update.

This year we’ve been seeing uConsole wait times of around 4 - 5 months. One would hope that April orders get fulfilled in the next couple of weeks, otherwise this would suggest production speed is going backwards again, which would be unfortunate.

I just hit the four month mark. I did order one from aliexress before the tarriffs hit, I got it for not much more than current price here. About a month for ship[ping. Now they are asking much more…

I figure it’ll get here when it gets here. I’ll stick the antennae/expansions that i like and have tyested into the new one when it arrives. My current one will continue to be used as a test module.

I look forward to each Radxa product as the are released. I have a number of thier SMBs. I just wish Radxa would work on thier driver/cpu/firmware/gpu/bios issues and have these things ready as the product launches.

Sincerely looking for whats coming in the future.

This far into production I would have expected the shipping times to normalize. I haven’t done a ton of searching so maybe I’ve missed the post, but what is causing the delay at this point?

We think it’s lower order volume, since all orders are preorders and they never have actual stock. You’re just waiting for them to sell enough of a specific variant that a batch can be produced.
That’s why it’s taking longer to ship again.

I see. I get not wanting to keep a bunch of every variant in stock but you would think at this point they would at least keep the base in stock. I love the product lineup so far but crazy lead times 2 years after release could lead people to ignore CWP altogether.

They originally had way too many variants with 5 cores and 4 variants per core, they should really reorganize it into just two variants for the colors and have everything else as separate items.
Looking at the price, they probably just made it too cheap, look at what they charge for the mainboard and cm4 adapter and then at what a full uconsole costs. Of course doing it at scale comes with benefits but those two add up to half of a barebones uconsole, and that comes with a metal case, keyboard, screen, battery board and those aren’t cheap either
