I can confirm the maker has made a comment way up on the chain confirming battery is needed when i asked it you could use it on a normal Pi 5 to test it he said you can but a battery will be needed to power the SSD as he didn’t pull the power over the ribbon.
Thank you Vileer for the exceptional product!! The NVME drive is SO much faster than the SD card. One could use this as a daily driver now. Thanx again and keep up the great work!
Yes, the NMVe SSD draws current from the battery. If you’re just using the charger, it won’t be able provide enough current.
There won’t be v2.1, but you can tell it was fixed by the shipping date. All orders shipped after last Friday were shipped with the boards have the issue fixed.

Thank you for the contribution. I will review and merge it late. Actually, I don’t use Discord often.
hi @vileer I donnt know what type of RTC battery, can you tell me? And what is the difference between the RTC interface behind the CM5 board and the RTC battery slot behind the AIO?
ECR1220 will work for the RTC on the AIOv2
My cr1220 battery can’t fit. It’s very loose because the battery is too thin and the battery slot is too thick.

I don’t know there are different types of the CR1220. In the Model name, 1220 should be the battery dimension: 12mm*2mm.
I am sorry, I am sure this has been addressed before but, what RTC battery do I buy to plug into the botom new carrier board?
The connector of the RTC battery for the adapter is MX1.25(ultra-thin).
4,7 kohms 100 mw is OK for ac1200 dongle wifi working?
It will work, too. The current limit threshold will be around 1.44A
@vileer, have you thought about setting up a wiki?
I’m sure many of us would be willing to help with the documentation.
You can find it on AliExspress. you will have to buy 10 of them for the price but they work. I have already installed one.
@vileer I’m order #6708. If it hasn’t been shipped yet, I’d still prefer the board with a resistor change than a refund or to wait on a fix. I got this expecting to do such activities in the first place. I mean it says open source hardware. Open-source might as well mean Get ready to tinker.
Do you have the link?
I spent the whole last weekend replacing the resistors for the unshipped orders. So when you receive yours, it will be fine.
