How i fkin love this community. It has been a year since I left windows for Uconsole. I use it as my main computer in desktop mode with monitor, keyboard, mouse etc. It has been a steep learning curve but I also get Chat Gpt to help when im stuck (it is shit at coding).
But we get people like Rex that customizes our operating systems, then Hacker gadgets with their upgrades. I dont think I couldve landed on a better spot in terms of hardware and Linux support.
I cant even express how happy I am now with my Uconsoles. Enough ass kissing. Love you all, bye

Iāve still yet to try this but meaning to. Iāve held off on adding the AC dongle because on my current console I donāt intend to add AIO so it would just be one wifi antenna and I wasnāt sure if itās going to create problems to only connect one antenna to one port on the AC1200 dongle. Does it even improve anything?
The major reason you use the AC1200 Wi-Fi card instead of the CM5 onboard Wi-Fi is because of the monitor mode, not the performance.

I think this USBimager is on windows. I am Linux user and I was asked about process if I get hg nvme board - what should I do to move os from SD to nvme and boot from nvme - then - can I still have SD in slot and for example tread this as normal storage (understand I need this SD wipe)
i didnt know thers a windows versio of USBimager. i found mine on Pi-apps

For those like me who live in Russia, where HackerGadgets does not deliver. On the local marketplace, a Chinese seller has an update kitā¦ On the HackerGadgets website, this kit costs $65, but the Chinese seller charges $265 
It seems that this is currently the only way to purchase this kit in Russia, as it is not available on aliexpress, and I am not aware of any other methods.
try checking on @vileer to verify if its possible to ship to Russia. my country was not on the shipping list until I asked him about it.

(do not delete dtparam=pciex1 as this enables the external PCIe lane)
Running at gen3/gen4 full speed increases power draw, heat, and can give signal issues due to long traces on the circuit board.

What is the current recommendation for a 10000 mAh battery that fits the stock case with aio and the C1200 USB-C WiFi Card? All the links to AliExpress that I found here did not work for me sadly.maybe because of shipping to Germany.
Are you satisfied with the battery, and does it actually have more capacity in real-world use than, say, two SAMSUNG 18650 35E batteries?
Do you have a CM4 or a CM5, and how long does the battery last with this 10,000 mAh battery?
The Samsungs are 2 x 3500 mAh so 7000 together the battery is 10000 mAh so it should last longer also it should charge faster then the Samsungs
itās not gonna charge faster, thatās limited by the axp chip and weāre already maxing that out, and a lot of people ran into current issues because a lot of them come with a BMS board that really limits the max current you can draw from the battery

In practice, however, no one has found a 10,000 mAh battery - as I know of - that can deliver a maximum current as branded 18650 batteries can.
So if the voltage drops too soon, the remaining capacity is of no use. (If the capacity stated is real at all.)
you know that internal usb-c on the hacker gadgets usb board? i would like to use it to plug a nvme into it via a usb adapter. good idea? or stupid due to power draw? shall i be a good boy and use a usb to micro sd instead?
