HackerGadgets' uConsole Upgrade Kit - adding NVME SSD(PCIe), RJ45 Ethernet and USB 3.0 to your Uconsole

Just got mine no clue how to put it together specifically what antennas connect where Any help?

Ive got 3 wifi antennas and 2 bluetooth i dont know why

1 wifi is for the compute module, the other 4 are for the optional ac1200 module

Any idea why i dont pick anything up tar1090 works but sdr does not work at all.

Have you rebooted between running tar1090 and SDR? When you run tar1090 it locks the RTL to be used with tar1090, and depending on how you ran tar1090 and how you closed tar1090, it sometimes keeps the lock after closed. A reboot (without tar1090 set to auto run) should remove the lock and let SDR work.

only one program can access the sdr at a time, tar1090 uses a background service and if that doesn’t shut down you can’t use the SDR.
You should be able to shut down the systemd service with systemctl

Yeah i rebooted twice.

I know (20 characters)

What’s the Gain of your setting?

Ok so i just tried that that gives me static but still no actual stations no matter the frequency.

Wait for some reason after trying again after reboot I dont even get static anymore and I cant change gain. (edit I fixed this)

OK ive just connected to a radio station very very noisy but atleast ive connected.

How do i use the aio v2 lora without meshtastic as all i see meshtastic no radiolib or anything else for raw lora packets.

If it’s not in any of the repos then you’ll probably have to compile it yourself.

My RJ45 board arrived and plugged it in and realised that theres nowhere on the CPU side to plug the other end of the ribbon cable into, its a regular uConsole straight out the box with a CM4 card.
so I didnt plug in the ribbon cable at all, the USB sockets all seem to work just fine anyway, but Im not sure about the GPIO pins? are they likely to work without that ribbon cable? I really only need the TX0/RX0 pins anyway.

The ribbon cable goes into the hackergadgets adapter board to provide usb3 speeds on a cm5, on a cm4 it doesn’t do anything afaik.

But without the hackergadgets adapter board you also won’t get ethernet.

I’m currently at work and got the notification my HG AIO v2 package was delivered.:call_me_hand:t6: I’m current running on a CM5 eMMC. I read somewhere in order to use/boot from an nvme I had to enable pcie in the config file. I can’t seem to find that documentation. Does anyone remember where I can find it?

Thanks, I will check this out ASAP.

I decided to make use of the RTC battery terminals on the uConsole Upgrade Kit - Adapter Board (HackerGadgets).
The connector I used was the “MOLEX 51146 -Ultra Thin Type-”.
