I made a custom firmware from the stock v.04, but the size is a little big, should I upload it?

I made a custom firmware from the stock v0.4 image with standalone emulators:
NES, SNES, GB, GBA and PS1.
I have tested that all the emulators work fine, you just need to copy rom to cpi/games folders and can play immediately.

I also “cleaned” the home screen menu a little bit.
The catch is this image is a little big in size - about 6.5GB. Probably because I made it from my 16GB card.

So, if anyone interested in this custom firmware I will upload for you.
If I do upload I will also write some details instructions so you can set everything up and get playing in no time.
Cheers!

Had the same issue when creating my custom image, had to use a 8GB sd card to solve this.

Perhaps it can be shrunk using Gparted?

before made your dump try fill all unused space with zero
http://manpages.ubuntu.com/manpages/xenial/man8/zerofree.8.html

( other possibility > https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/44725/clear-unused-space-with-zeros-btrfs

on a second time you could use conv=sparse option when use dd or just directly compress on the fly
