I waited, I am inpatient, So I bought from Aliexpress

I purchased from ClockworkPi in early Nov. 2025. I have emailed 3 times, but had only two reply’s so far. I first time I was told “Your order is in production”, second time (a month later) I was told “Your order is waiting production”.

I ordered a black non-core, wifi only version.

I found my version on Aliexpress two days ago, and ordered it. It was $100 more, but I will get it next week. I am in Canada so my options were limited, Aliexpress was about all I could get that would deliver.

I will keep this post updated when I get it, with a review (To see if its a copy or poorly manufactured), I will also provide a comparison once my ClockworkPi order arrives in 2045.

Great job!

Why did you bother the manufacturer with emails before the announced delivery time has passed?

I’ll never understand…

We all know how long uConsoles end up taking to be delivered, and it seems like you didn’t look into this before you ordered, and with that in mind if you had gotten your order now, considering you ordered in early November 2025, you would have been lucky to get it quickly. Even a PicoCalc, which is known to be shipped significantly quicker than uConsoles, would only be delivered at least around now if not later had you ordered one at the same time. Yes, you by buying from AliExpress managed to get a uConsole quickly, but in the process you slow down everyone else’s orders by incentivizing people like that from whom you ordered to buy up the rather limited production of uConsoles.

Thank you,

You wouldn’t understand, of course you wouldn’t. You know nothing of me, so my reasons are moot to you. I confirm all of my orders and shipments, and I like to track them as I am not always around to take delivery. So why wouldn’t I follow up with the MFR or Distributor.

You didn’t even wait for the period of time that it said it would take on Clockwork’s website, much the less (from what it seems) checked on the forums for the period of time that everyone actually says it takes. I can understand checking up on it after six months, given the delivery times everyone has been reporting, but you didn’t wait nearly that long.

They are way cheaper on Amazon right now.

You don’t want to wait and I get it. But by buying from resellers you’re making everyone else’s orders take longer, because these resellers are also buying uConsoles from ClockworkPi. Every device sold by a reseller could have gone from ClockworkPi directly to one of the people still waiting, but it didn’t. ClockworkPi has a problem with how long it takes to fulfill orders, that’s indisputable, but resellers - and their clients - are making the problem worse. My uConsole came in less than 60 business days from order to delivery, that was before resellers jumped on them. Make of that what you will.
