Just ordered a CM4 uConsole, average shipping time?

Hey I just ordered my first clockworkpi device, and was curious what the average “order to shipping” time is, and the average “shipping” time after that? Just want to know so I can be prepared and expect it!

average time to ship depends on which variant you ordered, a bit of luck, they work in batches that are all the same variant, so if you ordered the variant that will be produced next it can be “fast” and only take a month or two, but some variants(mostly the ones with a cm4 instead of the no core ones) can take up to a year.

the actual shipping time is pretty fast since you’ve paid for express shipping that’s under a week usually

write mail to alex@clockworkpi.com and ask him to refund you cm4

Problem, I’m using PayPal pay over time so I don’t know how refunding to that will work

when steam does refund to my paypal – money go back to card
in the worst scenario you will have ~80 EUR on the paypal balance and will spend it later

the real problem that having cm4 in order will add unknown amount of months. and cm5 seems better choice anyway

I got cm4-D it took me 6 months

and on reddit someone that ordered in september also just got theirs, since you both just got it and it looks like you got the same version you were in the same batch, that’s the luck part

It took 227 days to receive mine, I ordered Nov 21st and got it today

yours was also a cm4-d?

What should I say for this? i would like to be a bit informed when sending the email,

copy your order info and say that you want to remove cm4 from the order, also ask when your unit will be delivered after it.

alex is very nice and replies quickly (~day), he will ask additional questions if so.

also you can send him email each 2 weeks asking “what is a status of my order”.

Please dont do that unless it is really past the expected shipping time (i´d say about 3 to 4 months currently, no core/4g etc.)
It will not speed up your order, and just cause extra work.

what a butiful guilt trip

so clockworkpi could make working order status page or do not lie about delivery time and left to community do magic guesses about fastest combination.

there is topic with 3k comments on their delivery practices: Update: uConsole shipping related - #3225 by duckyvirus

they can answer for a few extra emails, alex answers very vague answer “there are a few batches before yours” all the time anyway

I am not trying to guilt trip anyone. I am also not related to Clockwork at all. But i am involved in customer service elsewhere, and i regularly see how many small questions can add up to a big workload.
Just saying, you can follow the thread with most recent shipped orders, and compare your order number.
And not saying you should never contact them, if you are unsure about anything, do it of course.
But just a standard email every two weeks even before the expected shipping does not really help anyone.

Alex has had standard replies for years now and they still don’t bother updating the expected shipping time, or fixing the many different variants of the uconsole having wildly different shipping times by just shipping the cm4 and 4g separately so they only have to produce 2 different variants instead of 8, and even more before they dropped the other cores.

But we should be clear that sending extra emails will do nothing to speed up your order

I ordered uConsole CM4 Lite and a CM4 adapter on 21 May 2025 and received the shipping notice today, 11 July 2025.
