Finally my cm5 is cooled properly! Took forever to make, I’m not a machinist, so it took extra long, but glad it’s done! Maybe if there is enough interest, I’ll put together a group buy, would likely be at least 250 a piece!
Wow that’s beautiful. A bit expensive for this guy but wow what I wouldn’t give for one!
Now that is some serious overkill.
Love it.
I agree, it is beautiful work. Congrats! I would definitely purchase one, but at $250 I’m not so sure. I didn’t pay $250 for the Uconsole I have yet to receive. Also, do you have an SSD installed?
Looks nice with the noctua fan how are the temps ? Can you share the CAD file please ? i have a milling machine at “home” ![]()
Are you planing to sell them?
Now you know why they went with injection molded magnesium. ![]()
Epic Case ! Very Nice !
CAD files will be much apreciated.
This backplate looks solid! We have a very slim design, but unfortunately we haven’t found a machine shop to make it affordable, and making it overseas gets taxed 100% tariff, maybe we can make these.
See attached.
Feel free to email us at sales@carboncomputers.us
Does $250.00 cover the fan and wiring as well?
Yes if it was cheaper I would buy one for review but just way too expensive for me at the moment.
I will comment, just to build buzz, that is solid. looks awesome and very cool. Counterpoint though; before the uConsole came out there was discussion on build materials, and ultimately due to weight, material choice moved away from something closer to this. What does this weigh compared to the original?
will buy and riview. Please DM.
Nice ! Have you considered getting a cheap CNC machine and making them ?
这个方案看上去非常优雅,价格合适的话可以考虑。
有时间也会尝试修改提升散热和音响效果的背板
非常棒的尝试,不过感觉背板的散热部分厚度有些夸张,是为了适应风扇厚度么
so I actually have a small cnc machine in my garage, it is unfortunately open loop control, making anything with it is incredibly difficult, i did this cover on a tormach 770M at work that was sitting in the shop unused, did a little learning and was able to produce this in not an insane amount of time, if i did a pre order, id love to use the money to just buy a tormach to throw in my garage and just make them, but i think i could maybe only make like 20 units a week, using my evenings and weekends
