nothing. it takes a few secs to boot, but it should be under 30 secs.
what raspberry do you have? can you connect external display?

Thanks for replying, i fix already, was the display cable, now working ok with the original OS, just the always issues about wifi, keyboard light very poor, sometimes double the click, etc. Probably will go to sell very soon!
default antenna is awful, search forum for solutions
Living in Shanghai and having easy access to all of this, i already ordered 2-3 kind of antennas, 3-4 models of trackball, crystal clear transparent face and back, few models of extension boards, just to customize a little until i finish my cyberboy based on PI5.
I’ve struck out with alternate trackballs. Do you have one you recommend?
I’ve ordered a few and have had good experience with this model # EVQWJN007 on aliexpress but no listing show up anymore. There are some on eBay for 10x the price they were on ali though.
I just checked the model number and this showed up on aliExpress. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004324486651.html
I wonder though, how “Fine” is the stock uconsole one? does it easily break(still waiting for my uconsole)?
That one is way better then the stock one IMHO.
There is a visual difference as well.
it’s fine, have no urge to replace mine.
but it it’s very easy to replace, actual ‘drop in replacement’ so having one in storage won’t harm
I ordered one of these thanks!
I don’t know if someone have issues with power on or booting, but my unit is like working when he wants. I think i have at least 50 power failures in few days, the power led turn green after 2 seconds but then nothing happens… turn out the batteries, cm4, battery board… etc like i was installed and uninstalled in few days at least 10 times…. I don’t understand, is like most of the time i turn off, the boot loader get broken and doesn’t want to turn on anything i do, so make a new TF card, uninstall everything, install back, put the battery, turn on and work. If i try to use other tf card with ubuntu same, all good then i turn off and dead, doesn’t want to turn on not even with the old tf card that was working before use ubuntu tf card. Probably i must to send back, otherwise i waste my time on this stupid computer.
Have you tried a different distro beside ubuntu?
I don’t think is the OS, i tried all including your, actually now I install your and is making updates… is definitely something hardware because if i beat on the back the display became pink and the speakers start to sound like a short circuit then the console froze and i must to use power button 7 sec to turn off, then i must to remove the batteries, cpu board and turn on only with the power cable, then turn off again, put the batteries back, otherwise no way to start again, doesn’t matter what TF card i have inside. Then if i take out the back cover and beat around with the console turned on, nothing happens, is working well, so probably the back cover is pressing too much the cpu board because the heat transfer material and something stopping to make contact, then when i beat the back is happening what i described before. Incredible… this console have 3 days only, so without back cover all good
Yes this is the one working well, i bought 6-7 models from different sellers also but this one is the only worging decent, i don’t understand why they choose this trackball and not the trackpad that is way more better for this kind of device.
maybe you didn’t properly insert battery board connection?
I am electronic engineer, i have around 37 years experience. This device have hardware issues at the power system. Today after barely i start up the device and testing for 1h, turning on and off in various ways, at the end i turned off put in the bag and go sleep. I wakeup, turn on, the led turn green and that’s it, all like dead. Batteries 100% all this time. Then again the lesson i already dream, press power button 7 seconds, turn off, open the back, take out batteries and cpu board, put back everything after 5 seconds, put the back panel back, press the power button and surprise: the device booting like normal. Then after 10 minutes i turned off, tried to turn on and surprise again, dead, led green but no boot, turn off again pressing the power for 7 seconds, wait another few seconds then press again power, led green and in 10 seconds the device boot like normal. Now you tell me if this symptom is hardware , software or because i don’t plug the battery well or the board connector, remember when he work everything is normal from charging led yellow to all the device operation. To not also talk about that if i beat easily with the finger on the back panel, the screen becomes pink or green with various lines on horizontal and the device get frozen, then i need to turn off by pressing power 7 sec. Then open everything again and take out batteries and cpu board because he doesn’t turn on all without this operation, is just happened now again.
PS: i decided to buy another CM4 to eliminate also the CPU board from the equation.
How about plugging in an external display? If nothing shows on the display when you power on, then the mainboard can be at fault.
New CM4 arrived, the old CM4 was fault, probably a cold soldering point on the PCB that sometimes was doing contact and sometimes not, causing all the issues.
