Pico-8 not working

Hi, I’m a complete novice when it comes to programming. Thats why i thought i’d give the game shell ago to try and learn a thing or two.
Problem I have is with installing pico-8. I’ve copied across the .zip file using filezilla from the pico-8 website as instructed on the gameshell its self but it keeps sending me back to the main gameshell screen every time i select pico-8 in the UI.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
