Quick follow up on my last post here. I ended up shipping the broken screen to the secondary supplier in china, it arrived on July 1st, they did whatever they do to reverse engineer it to be compatable with what i was requesting. The only thing that is off is the width of the “replacements” its 1mm wider. The costs of the re-tooling & reverse engineering was 50$ in total as a one time cost, replacement screens are 12$ + 8$ s/h. I ordered 3 + my old screen back. So in total im receiving the 2 that Alex sent as a replacement & the 3 from the secondary supplier. I’m currently having a friend print me a larger front enclosure to see if these new screens properly work with the PicoCalc. If they do, i’ll add everything to my github repo for everyone alongside contact information of this secondary supplier.
