Had an issue using my uConsle in bed last night and I think I know why it wasn’t responding very well. There is a very slight amount of movement in the trackball module in the case which may just be enough to throw off the tracking. I printed out a shim that fits snugly inside the case and around the lip of the socket holding the ball. When I reassembled it I can shake the uConsole and there is no rattling, where before I could hear a rattle coming from where the trackball is. Can now use the trackball with the uConsole held above my face, screen downward with the same result as having it lay flat on a table, its not perfect as it doesn’t like very quick movements but I think that’s just the circuit around the hall effect sensors not being very quick and getting confused sometimes.
seems some dirt, try to “scrible” fast left right, then some fast up down, without any pressure. If it wont work seach for EVQWJN007 in some shops…

seems like you were unlucky.
-
you can try QMK firmware: QMK firmware for uConsole keyboard
-
just buy a new trackball: Blackberry trackball
but buy in 3 places simultaneously as these trackballs are lottery
Generally speaking my trackball wasn’t bad, but there was some movement of the module inside the casing. This is now fixed without needing to get a different trackball. Thanks for the link to the new firmware update though, the extra features are very useful.

Is there an STL? I am having issues with my trackpad and want to see if this will help.
