Question about uconsole screen whitening and edge backlight glow after long use

Hello everyone,

I have noticed that the uconsole screen tends to turn whitish after being powered on for a long time. When using a solid color wallpaper, it is especially noticeable that there is a glowing bright strip around the edges on the back of the screen.

Is this a common issue with uconsole screens or a normal characteristic of the display?

If it’s a hardware problem, does anyone have experience replacing the screen? How and where can I purchase a replacement, and what model or specifications should I look for?

I think this is an issue with the drivers in the stock image, and it is solved by using one of the newer more up to date community images

The screen appears to be a custom screen so the only source for replacement screens we’ve found so far is clockworkpi themselves

I’ll try it later. The system version I’m currently using is indeed quite old.
