Does RV dock for allwinner D1 will be compatibile with clockwork’s R01 core? They have similar form factor but given my adventures with FPC 2 GPIO breakout i will ask first before buying ;d
my idea is to develop stuff for uconsole but having normal uart avaiable on rpi-compatible 40 gpios over goldpins.
there is a folder named Lichee_RV-Dock and Lichee_RV, RV Dock may only contained the base board, Lichee_RV is the compute module installed on the RV Dock.
We must have some misunderstanding here ;d
Initially i was asking “can i put my R01 into Sipeed’s Lichee RV dock”.
@Rex made me realize that Sipeed’s product interfaces SoM to carrier board via two mini pci-e form factor and i possibly could make R01 fit in there with the help of hammer, but only once
The solution seems to be buying “a set” containing dock+ dedicated module( which i eventually did) but other than that R01 core can’t be used in 3rd party carrier board other than ClockworkPI’s mainboard.
Yet after some digging i found forum posts stating that it’s possible to use CM3 core in CPI mainboard.
I’ve checked briefly schematics for both of these (this is official R01 core and CM3 SoM) and sure they are electrically compatible. Therefore i might get away with obtaining CM3 carrier board and trying to fit R01 in there ;d
I’m reply to this quote, but I thought you are trying to insert licheeRV som into uconsole/devterm… sorry for my misunderstanding…
Any CM3 carrier board should be work, as long as you just using HDMI output, serial commucation and power. USB and some other functions may not work if hardware connection is not matched.
