RPG Maker to Gameshell

I was thinking about making an RPG to play on my gameshell and was wondering if I could use RPG Maker MV, or a possibly older version to make it. Could it be ported over to the Pi machine and how would it run? I’m pretty good at making games but exporting them to the Gameshell is something totally new to me.

Edit: It has options to export to windows mobile, browser and LINUX. Is that good news?

EDIT: Ooops My mistake, I did not mean the actual engine. But exporting a game made with it to actually play on it with gameboy style graphics

hi -

I don’t think CPI has the grunt, video capabilities or RAM to run something like RPG Maker MV.

If I was to build an RPG for CPI, I would look at something that runs comfortably on the hardware. Love 2D would work fine, or a Python-based RPG or a toy console emulator.

I am quite sure that EasyRPG Maker games will play comfortably.

MV use a javascript engine. So if you make a 320x240 game it may run on the gameshell.

Hard to say about performances, but there is nothing that would limit you apart from the resolution.

Sure you can use Javascript, but the problem is the build. RPG Maker can be run from *nix, but it does not build into it

RPG Maker MV builds for Windoze, Mac, Android APK, iOS and… HTML 5 - AFAIK, the CPI can’t run a HTML5 compliant browser.

(I could be wrong, but I doubt it)
