Seems like the solder pads for the 18650 holder are clean

This looks amazing. I want to make the front plate on mine black and this is exactly the finish I am after.
I then want to laser engrave my own name and logo into it.
I thought about anodising but looks like a bit too much effort for me.
I’ve also looked at the black oxide method but have seen very different results achieved by others.
any update on this project. Would be a good one for the cm5 users.

seems like it’s M4 screws, they are widely available

Would that be the M4X6? Is it necessary to shorten them ordinarily, or did you need to for some other reason? I’m seeing conflicting information about the max length.
The bolts in the middle should be shortened, if you don’t it does stick into the case and almost touches the mainboard and expansion board.

Here are my 2 Uconsoles CM5 left Radxa Right. But not customised yet but soon with the Lora expansion kits.well i will have 3 uconsoles soon as a 3rd project.

First test of this case. I make small changes then live with it for a bit. Next to add the hackergadgets antenna board.
