Exact same thing happened to me too. Just remove the front panel securing the screen and keyboard and removed/moved the keyboard around then placed it back. Worked for me.
not changing anything… trying QMK firmware now?
I’m using Rex’s dragonos (having the same problem on bookworm) and on a cm4. Meshtastic works fine during the first set up but after I reboot it always stops working. I’ve uninstalled, auto removed and reinstalled. While checking the status I get (Failed at step EXEC spawning /usr/sbin/meshtasticd: No such file or directory.) . Ive googled the problem and a result shows the same error but when I click on the thread it’s nowhere to be found.
CM5 + AIO2 + Trixie and no sound. Do you guys have sound with such a setup?
I have similar stup but with Rex’s Trixie do you have sound?!
Just learned … there is now 2.4 GHz LoRa… I guess I bought in too early, eh? Or could I upgrade my device to handle both frequencies with another mod?
LoRa does not run at 2.4GHz so I don’t understand what you mean, can you give more details regarding what you mean please. thanks.
LoRA just got an update — you can already buy boards with both standards (Lilygo or from meshtastic I think - pretty cheap as well… for like 20-30 bucks (without tax etc. I guess) - type it into youtube …lots of videos.)
2.4GHz offers enough bandwidth for voice + data messages. Which is a game changer imho.
WOW i had not picked up on that change, thanks for the update.
Wouldn’t 2.4 GHz sacrifice one of the main pluses of LoRA, i.e. the ability to transmit very long distances at very low power? Remember that LoRA is really meant for things like wireless water meters, which may need to contact a base station a mile away while only receiving a new battery once every ten years.
yup. Still it exists and gives everyone FOMO ![]()
@vileer I see that this is sold out on Hacker Gadgets. Do you have an ETA when more might be available? Or, I guess, IF more will be available? The addition of LoRa to my newly arrived and assembled uConsole is something I’m very interested in. Thanks for your help!
I got the newer 7 antenna mount but it doesn’t seem to come with spacers and leaves a gap between back plate and main case. Does this version mount to the outside of the back plate or sandwiched between back plate and main case ?
Thanks
vileers antenna mount always mounted on the outside
AIO 2 is finally here
However there is no ribbon cable or anything to attach is on the other side as shown and warned - i am having CM4 , is this normal and i assume this requires the additional adapter board and i can safely try to turn it on later when i mount the antenas and such ? So its only for CM5 required ?
make sure the ribbon cable is installed as shown in the picture below. Never ever plug in the charger if the ribbon cable is installed the wrong way; otherwise, it will damage the uConsole mainboard.

Thank you. I had figured that, but just wanted to verify
I have aiov2_ctl software installed, and in console it works great, but Gui Version requires the python3-pyqt6 package, even though it’s installed. How can I solve this problem?
Install pyqt6 with pip
I have the same problem. How exactly do we need to install Python?
Hi all
Finally all good, received and assembled - just one issue
Probably due to the fact i already has Os Dragon installed and other softwate but the RTL SDR is not having any sounds. Signals are visible , i can use ADS-B for tracking ,etc, etc
I am with CM4 , looked for any wrong settings but all is good - or for mute /excedded thresholds..
Any idea or its best to re-intstall with Pi image and start a new ? Maybe using the ones reccomened by Rex - Trixie and forgot what was the rest ?
So the device is ok, something with SDR brown and the other two players - GGRQ is not loading for me to try it.
GPS , Lora and rest is all good, will post some pics later
