Uconsole SD card/image issues + few beginning isssues

Hello uconsole community, I am a radioamateur wanting to play with this amazing portable Rpi.

I finally received my unit + AIO and antennas and followed the instructions to mount it.

A piece (pic attached) falled from the unit and I don’t know where it comes from.

The included Lexar 32Gb didn’t load the basic Rpi image, I had to use another 16GB and download

the github online provided basic image. On my CM4, it’s very slow and the provided trackball/mouse is not working well+the arrows are not working, so I am using external hardware.

I used the 32Gb for DragonOs+another 16Gb PISDR imageS, which work on another Rpi4 but not on the uconsole. The basic uconsole image on another 16Gb works on it but not on the other Rpi4.

I tried also the script for using Hackergadgets AIO but at a certain point, it stops the process.

Just added it, thanks

the piece can be thrown away, it holds the ribbon cable connector together for the pick and place machine during PCB assembly.

At some point they switched from plastic to metal ones, and they’re not removing them, so now we get to regularly tell people that the loose piece of metal is expected and can be thrown away safely

About the images, the uconsole needs custom drivers for the screen and the power management chip, and some device tree overlays, so only uconsole specific images work
