One thing is for certain; with each passing day, the day you describe is getting closer!
so we’ve reached the ridiculous meme stage in the process … ill have to update the ordering process for this stage
That stage needs a hashtag! #iwonder or something…
Speculation:
Standard freight passing through China customs can take anywhere between 7 to 40 days to clear. The 5/5 shipping update says that customs has acknowledged the customs request from CWPi. Therefore, given this information, I can safely estimate that orders in the first batch will be shipped at some point before the heat death of the universe.
Yes, it is likely that this is the case, scientifically speaking. Here is some documentation on the heat death of the universe.
Entropy, ladies and gentleman!
technically correct is the best kind of correct
Hey, if you guys are bored while you wait HumbleBundle has a good book bundle right now that seems pretty relevant to the type of stuff we do here. It has several books focused on sensors, RaspberryPi, and a good one that talks about understanding/using Linux and how it is used on devices like these (GPIO, I2C, etc), and other books on electronics and Arduino stuff.
This is a wholesome endeavor and much appreciated
it’s my birthday
a good present would be a uConsole – so teleport that shit pls lol
Happy Birthday!!! hopefully your present wont be too late!!!
you are too optimistic
thanks! lol
20 chars blah blah blah
my last cake baking adventure almost ruined our gas oven… … i box of cake mix per cake … all i’m saying…
You know ~10 years from now - you’ll pay a fee to Clockwork and print the whole thing at home or pay someone else too… circuit boards, hardware, and case… (maybe even the battery!)
Someone start a Kickstarter for whatever the heck this beast is!!!
Many of my projects are exactly that already! China makes my pcbs, I do my own printing and send cut send does my flat metal parts, I do very little fabrication these days, more of just send stuff out and wait , then just assemble when it all comes in!
How many revs before you have circuit board you like - I tend to breadboard , then use project board, then build a better project board… and find a plastic box it might fit in and take it out to my shop to cut holes and make feed-throughs… I tend to like the otterboxes for keeping phones and keys dry while on the lake.
I have the capability to do simulations of the circuits so usually the first pcb is perfect, and they are so cheap from pcbway now that when I do make mistakes, it’s really a nonissue to do a second pass
Are you able to share the tools you use to design and simulate by any chance?
