beepberry’s in. I’m counting it as a keeper.
I’m not digging the touchpad. It sort of interferes with typing if you’re not careful. Everything else is awesome and exactly what I expected.
Hat’s off to SQFMI. It makes me feel like the uConsole is going to work well as a handheld. Can’t wait to get it in pocket as well. I bet the larger form factor is that much better compared to this guy.

Ordered mine yesterday. How many months to send/ship to Brazil?
did it come formated for the smaller screen or did you have to make changes?
I just used their stock sdcard provisioning instructions. Screen just worked etc.
I did change the keyboard firmware though. I disabled the backlighting. It was not useful and wastes power. It was just a one liner to remove the init code for it
When did your Beepberry ship? I got a shipping notification on the 8th but no movement yet.
I know this is the norm when things are being shipped from China. Just super eager to get my hands on it!

Same. On the 8th. Went from HK to Alaska within two days, but FedEx took another week to get it to the SE USA. Batteries force them to drive instead of flying.

Cool. Pro tip, comment out the backlighting init in the keyboard fw and reload it. It gets annoying.
Also, the optimize script on master breaks the alt symbols on the keyboard. If you use it, re-enable the keyboard service.
I plan to use it as a terminal device only - those graphics on a 0 are s…l…o…w…

While im waiting for the golden email… I’ve flashed the uConsole image on a 256gb micro sd card … and taken a couple of old laptops and installed Rasbian OS for i86 on them … one will be used for travel and other to give away to a neighbor kid…
