clockwork isn’t really active here, it’s just a bunch of us customers and a volunteer mod as far as I can tell.
But based on what we’ve observed in the shipping threads and some info from emails with alex, though they’re not the most reliable source of information we can give you some extra information.
Clockwork themselves will not send you any updates until they actually ship it.
The way the process seems to work is as follows:
All orders are preorders, they only produce a batch when they’ve sold the full batch. And this is where the 8 variants of the uconsole become a bit of an issue, a batch only contains a single variant. So the variant you ordered can affect your shipping time a lot, because unpopular variants take longer to fill a batch but there’s a lot of luck involved too, if you have bad timing and order just after the cutoff for the next batch you’ll likely wait 8+ months even with a popular variant, and if you order just as a batch is about to fill up you might get it in under two months.
But anything in between is also possible.
So with this information you can look in the shipping thread and see the last time a batch with your variant shipped and if it’s recent you’ll be waiting a long time, if it’s a long time ago you might get lucky. In general the basic variants(no core and wifi only) are the fastest and cm4 variants are the slowest.
