Charging behavior

Hello, recently I’ve noticed that when charging the uConsole, every once in a while it will stop charging and act as though it’s been unplugged, and then revert back to charging and recognizing that it’s plugged in. I believe this was a problem when I had a cm4 as well, but I am running the cm5 now. I’ve tested with different cables and it doesn’t seem to make a difference. Is this possibly software related? or maybe an effect of the uconsole not really being made to support the cm5? Also wondering if the 4g module could be pulling too much power? I don’t know if that would cause the behavior described.

Did you try a different brick? It sounds like power brick issue.

Yeah it seems to happen with multiple bricks I have but I can try getting a brand new one and see if all my stuff is just in bad condition :smiley: very possible

I had the same problem until I reseated my battery panel. I had worked around it by dimming my screen when charging, but I don’t have to do that anymore. Insert the pins at a 45 degree angle, and push to make sure they go in, and then screw it down. The pins should not be sitting on top of the pins of the main board.
