If I pull the USB-C out, and re-insert I get the usual “Expected” action. The Battery Symbol turns green. But… If I pull the plug out of the wall and put it back in, nothing changes it stays off.
a lot of pd chargers don’t work right with the uconsole. use the most basic charger you have. if you search the forum you’ll see the steam deck and other pd chargers have had problems.
I have ordered up a 100w “Generic” charger, and I will link and report back just how it turns out.
But I can say, @Rex is definitely on the right track. I put together a very simple 12v to 5v buck converter power supply, that can supply 5a, and it notified me that :
A) It was plugged in,
B) It was charging, &
C) It stayed that way the entire time It was plugged in.
100W is still a PD charger, uconsole needs 5V and can’t negotiate PD, the best chargers are old phone/tablet chargers or raspi official power supplies both designed to provide 2A+ at 5v
Just use a normal wall brick with around 10 ~ 15 watts with a normal usb type a plug, and use a usb type a to type c cable. This will work the best for charging the uconsole, because the uconsole can’t communicate with a pd charger
