Kali linux for Uconsole?

…another duel boot possibility, tbh this seems great for just checking out new sd card images after Creating them.

Refer to the guidance provided by cuu on build kali linux. I successfully ran Parrot Os. I don’t know why the wifi cannot search for my router hotspot, but other functions are normal. I hope you can provide some help

Good

Could you publish your os image so I can have a try ,so I maybe able to findout why

Please help Cuu to take a look. I uploaded the image to the cloud disk. The default password is: parrot
Thank you.

Had the same issue myself, bought pack of cheap ones which were short, then, some longer ones working.

Oh do these work i am waiting for these in the post myself

Yep, these on the right - from your link, too short, do not fit uConsole, longer ones work fine but more expensive

you got a link to the longer ones?

Gought several from different shops on aliexpress, don’t recal which is which, but there are plenty of them and if you serash you may find it cheaper:

The ones with a hole on the top im guessing, i think you get only 2 where as the shorter ones you get 5 (in my experience anyway) heres the link for what i got

Not tested yet but used kernel compiled by yatli in this thread ArchLinux ARM for uConsole CM4 -- living documentation - #30 by yatli. Working wifi and screen at least. Will not have all the drivers built into the Kali kernel but a huge step has been accomplished!

Yh i got one but mine was broken :expressionless: but glad its a working option

Can you elaborate on “broken”? I was thinking mine is “broken” too - one of the cards working perfectly directly with uconsole was not recognised by any means via this adapter. I was blaming one card slot first. But 2 other cards (one of the same vendor not working - SanDisk) were working.

so, may be something spi vs. sdio on hardware level ) and some cards may work and others won’t

Nope just didnt work, tried new cards, tried using it on a different device, tried each slot. Everything didnt work even though the individual cards worked themselves. I got a refund straight away with no comment (same day) so i assume its a common issue with it.
Not really that bothered by it.

Do you tried a usb wifi adapter as alternative?
The built-in wifi is a pain in the ass…

Sorry, I don’t use usb wifi. I haven’t tried it. It should work.
