You should be able to get one of the PCI-E lanes working on a radxa cm5 using whatever board he develops. The issue is USB3 since i think the Radxa has usb3 on the third connector marked J1.
Solution to get all features would be a radxa specific adapter.
Oh and Vileer a question.
The SMA connectors on the board, are they soldered with some high tensile strength unobtanium facory solder that will never melt with a conventional soldering iron or can i go to town on that board and replace them easily with MCX connectors if i want to do quickmounts?
You can desolder the SMA connectors by using a hot air gun. But the footprint is designed for SMA, so you can’t just solder a MCX connector on it. I would recommand using a SMA to MCX adapter instead.
I didn’t even notice that the default one came with no antenna.I’m sure someone ordered it wrong.
Solder party has some nice breakout boards. If they’re not a drop in solution they could serve as inspiration!

I’m doing some research on the GPS antenna right now and only starting to learn. So far, I’m thinking of either getting the BT-603 or BT-560 (Beitian RTK Drone Lighting Show GPS BDS GLONASS GALILEO SMA-J GNSS Hel – Beitian store), simply due to the wider frequency range and higher gain.
Does anyone know if the BT-603 would be too wide on the hub to fit? And other than flexibility to get more different GPS signal standards, what are the benefits of each? Many thanks!
The one you need is HA-301A
Thanks for the links! GPS antenna is cheaper Thanks any I could find inc shipping to the netherlands
That’s one of the USB ports of the USB hub. It is used for connecting to the USB devices with jumper wires.
@vileer would you know for the board and the antenna hub, are you using IPEX 1 or 4? Many thanks!
IPEX 1, the big one.
what is the type of IPEX is on the CM4?
IPEX 1. Same as the extension board.
Hi everyone. I’m very interested in this board, but I’m moving soon so I want to see if I can get it before then. Is it still in preorder? I see that the listing on HackerGadgets says both in stock/1-2 day processing and also that some orders will be shipped in July. Which is true? Thanks
First 300 will ship around end of May. 500 after that sold out and will be shipped around June. I believe another 300 after that has almost sold out which should ship around July August.
Consider the estimated shipping date around the end of of July if you order now. But you can change the shipping address anytime before it shipped. All you need to do is contact me via the contact form on the website.
I believe if another 11 units sell thats the 1,000 units sold which should secure the newer chip.
We’ve achieved the goal. I ordered one pack of R860(4.9k pcs) from RafaelMicro. The estimated delivery date would be May 15th, which may push the shipping date a few days backward for the first batch. And the manufacturing process for the antenna mounting kit after I return from Labor Day(May 6th).
