Sadly you probably haven’t tested the screen before fully mounting your DevTerm, there is a chance to break the screen while mounting it if you apply too much torsion to it.
Please contact CPI for support, they should send you a replacement screen.

is it just me or does this look more like graphical corruption than a broken lcd?
That’s a good point, it could be graphical corruption, had to tell :confused, I’ve seen screen doing weird things with one of the driver being broken, and no clear break on the screen itself.
@wei_cheng , try to re-seat the cable on both sides, it may be badly connected?
