The rivet on this one seems pretty weak or malformed. A defect perhaps. Going to see if the spring will tin. Maybe it will solder back on. At least it works with just one battery

Good news, everyone! I am happy to report the spring tins up nicely. We are back in business. I hope this post helps anyone that experiences the same issue.
