Update: uConsole shipping related

Hello, apologies for the belated response!

I used this model.

And I used this antenna.

Not a single issue with coverage. I would suggest using a very strong material to print it though, as it is a very small and thin part.

Hope this helps!

Since you have both cm4 and cm5 on hand, I would start with cm4 since you know it will work. Test it out and fix anything that isn’t right, then consider cm5.

If I may add, another disadvantage of using a Compute Module with built-in storage is if the memory chip fails down the line, unless you’re good at replacing the affected chip, you’ll have to swap the whole module.

Which CM5 did you get?

Bookworm is still not 100% working with display so wait a few weeks?

I bought a dev kit 32emmc 4 gh wifi but even then i must have done something wrong , all other cm4 distro works good but i cant get bookworm to boot even with the config.txt poperly set i must have missed somtthing

How do you write the EMMC?

You need a carrier board.

I think we have to wait until ak-rex is back from his winter break anyway for 100% display.

But hopefully both CM5 will work soon!

Yes to.both  waveshare makes one cheep carrier board if you dont want to buy a full dev kit

Received mine today, immediately assembled it.
Order #30088 ordered mid September.
Cm4 (switched to non-core a month later)
Matte black
Wi-Fi only

Two day shipment to Canada (spent an extra two days on the local truck because of new years), $20.55CAD FedEx fee.

Ordered a CM4 off digikey as soon as it shipped. No CM5 in stock, so CM4 for now.

Very happy with it, there is an issue with my screen (possible defect) but I’ll wait until the clockwork
responds to make a post about it.

Hi guys,

I just wanted to come here to say that I finally received mine. Order 274xx placed in March. I checked back into this thread and people were saying they received theirs so I emailed him and it arrived like 5 days later.

cm5 doesn’t work yet anyway (+ there are no audio drivers from RPi side yet)

Order 274XX, Feb 28 2023, shipping notice received December 30, arrived January 3, 2025.

Black with CM4 wifi only.

Everything went together well, except the back shell. The screws were not long enough to reach to the threads inside the holes. I had to use slightly longer M4 screws to attach the back cover.

Everything works as expected.

I had the same issue with mine - the top two were the only ones, thankfully!

Hey there! My order number is 299XX. I’ve been waiting for over 120 days already, and still haven’t received a single bit of shipment information. What on earth should I do? And who can I turn to for help?
