I am like 25600 thereabouts. I must have watch the same YouTube. I am going to just lean back and wait. We should be seeing some movement soon if they were sending out a shipment yesterday or today. As long as the numbers keep moving. Time just lets me save more $$ for toy enhancements. Maybe a 3D printer.
I am just guessing based on stuff I have read here that it can be 90 days but it also seems that they are figuring out how to process and move stuff faster. I think patience is going to be the key. We will have to wait 362 days for Christmas to roll around again and 11 months for elections to be over so this should be a breeze.
I ordered on 12/24/23 have a mod so just bought bare bones. The Mod has
eMMC so was thinking of getting a lite version. Micro SD’s are a dime a
dozen these days so I could play with several OS images pretty easily I
think. Mr_Brolin could probably answer that question.
will post when I get noticed and hands on for sure.
All new buyers who are wondering about eta on deliveries theres another thread thats community lead that shows the time when people ordered to when it was delivered, starts out not looking great but there has been lots of improvements on catching up recently, also dont forget to check the top of this thread for updates from Alex, will give a heads up for next batches and also any issues or queries
That’s what i was starting to glean from some reading in other places on the web. Luckily there are plenty of other uses for a CM4 with eMMC. Will find a lite today and get it moving this way.
You can use an emmc unit if you wanted to…just… a pain to get running… The pi4 uconsole has like 400gb max card as it is … So either way your emulator library will be mounted via USB most likely.
Just my opinion though, just do what you think works for you.
Flashing the emmc model is neither difficult or a pain.
Spend about 19 bucks and get a Waveshare Nano Model B CM4 board and write the image… or play with a different form factor…
Ended up buying 2 of them, going to build them into an off the shelf wireless router and a plug in the wall USB power adapter as demonstration tools for a class on cyber security.
Did it previously with a Pi Zero 2W but want to show just how much more you can do with a CM4 with a decent amount of RAM
I think it is an absolute shame, that the clockwork pi shop still says it is 90 days for shipping. They should at least be honest with people and tell them right there that, based on past experience, it will take about a year to ship their order
Although I understand your state of mind, this comment annoys me. I waited more than a year to receive my uConsole, and in addition it had problems as soon as it was received. Well, I’ve never seen such a dedicated and attentive after-sales service. The problems were solved quickly and now everything works. It’s a very small team that shoots down a titanic job. They just do their best.
