I suspect that some of the more cynical views would be cross over from an unrelated project called the Popcorn Pocket Computer. I am sure a few here also ordered one of those around 3 years ago and are still waiting for something. That company would go radio silent for months on end and just in the last few days we are seeing some activity. I ordered one of those in October of 2020 and ordered the uConsole in October of 2022. I am confident that I will get the uConsole long before the Popcorn one. Not sure the Popcorn one will ever ship, they are supposed to have some sort of update today.

Well the update showed plastic injected parts and they claimed to have the rest of the parts on location. The claim is now 5-8 weeks before they ship. Many on the Discord thread are skeptical. Time will tell. To be fair, China got hit hard with the pandemic and it just shut everything down. Small operation like this really didn’t have a chance. The fact that they are still claiming they are alive is good.
3 years? Your time travels may be confusing you, the uconsole was announced Oct 25 2022. Less than a year ago…

I own a DevTerm already and have a uConsole on order. I do believe it will ship on time. These guys have a good track record. The Popcorn Computer I have had on order forever, I will be surprised if I get anything.

A Little impatient too… DevTerm is a neat device but the wide screen and wide format is not as usefull as I had hoped… (but I love the printer - working on getting a generic thermal printer working via CUPS) the uConsole with it’s narrower profile is looking like thumb typing will be easier… Took notes tonight in a class on my DevTerm in low light looking forward to the backlit keyboard - this probably belongs on another thread… PM thread… spamming spammers!! %$%#$#%@^&*!!! shipping notice… SPAM!

Dude relax. Every post you make for the past 3 months is asking about the shipping date. We all want them to ship but no one else knows more than what’s already been posted by the company. Can you give it a rest?
