I contacted them, shipping will begin before end of March. Delay due to change the craft of shell (lighter and stronger). Fingers crossed, hope it will be so
happy Pi day!!! you crazy pot on a stove waiting for it to boil watchers!!!
Haha same to you! It’s gotta start bubblin’ soon!
Between the supply shortage, manufacturing everything, holidays, economic sanctions, packaging and shipping, and dealing with legal/customs… “its coming” sounds about right. CWPi has a very good record of delivering on their products, but it takes time. Multiple people report hearing that they expect to start shipping later this month, so that’s nice.
Pre-ordered 26 October 2022.
Should we start taking bets on when the units ship? Or should start a repo for an application or website that makes predictions on ClockWorkPi shipments? How would this work? Any thoughts?
They will be shipped on March the 23rd. That’s when Hal will announce it on Twitter. Mark this down.
Is the time accurate? Are you sure it will be shipped on March 23rd?
Puddle jumper said to take bets, so, that’s my bet. You can write me a check if I’m right.
I said “should we?” haha
pick a date, lets see who’s the better guesser!
Next week, maybe?
I’m in queue on second batch but enjoying my devterm.
My bet is the 21st of March. Monday seems too soon, but Thursday is soooo far away
Whoever guesses the date, or close to the date wins. The lower number beats the higher number though, like price is right. As in, if it ships on the 22nd, and one person guesses the 21st and one guesses the 23rd, the 21st would win by being a lower number. Encourages riskier/sooner dates
This is like our version of March Madness… #wenship
Updating one of my old Raspberry Pi’s (Pi 3) today - trying to keep my mind off of waiting for shipment notification - the suspense, the drama, the uncertainty…
Does anyone know whether all units ship at once? I am probably one of the last ones to order it…
I was doing the same thing, trying to figure out how to make an Apache Spark cluster.
They usually go out in batches - based on the DevTerm they went out with processor groups, it’s quite an operation - my DevTerm came in really robust packaging and a great box… but be careful I was in such a hurry to build the DevTerm that I almost overlooked some of the parts… it reminded me of if a model airplane kit got crossed with build your own computer… less parts this time but I believe the packaging will make the journey and everything inside will be in good shape… plus I saved my box… I’m funny that way…
I’ve got a little 7 inch flat screen and a raspberry pi /power shield and sense hat stack inside a Harbor freight Apache 1800 case - case will just hold an SWR camera so it’s very compact - I use a barrel power connector to feed through to keep it neat and tidy - it runs on 12 volts but I you have to leave the case open for it to cool…Little wireless keyboard and it is very compact - I run a Node-Red application - building a gui front end on a database - will display the tables on Grafana…
Looks amazing! Now if Raspberry can just ship me a CM4 unit…
