Knowing how rapidly shipping slows down for holidays starting in early October, I’m setting my most optimistic of crystal ball predictions at assembling my devterm on Christmas morning.

Long time lurker, first time poster. Ordered my A06 in Feb, order in the late 14k. Have seen people before and after me get their confirmations here, but I’ve gotten nothing. Following the community guidelines (constructive criticism is welcome, but criticize ideas, not people), my constructive criticism is below:
- Don’t advertise a product with a shipping date unless you’ve guaranteed that date.
- It’s nice to get updates, but if the updates don’t accurately reflect what is going to happen, don’t post them with set timeframes (for example, “In a few days…”), which I’ve observed to be common. Personally, my enthusiasm for the product is curbed due to the positive anticipation of receiving the product at an advertised timeframe, only to have it delayed further.
I understand people can preach patience and cite shipping constraints, but no one is the same and people can still feel let down about a situation and have that be a valid feeling without having others downplay it.

I ordered A06 in November 2020 (one of the first) and I don’t think I’ll get anything this year (if I get anything at all). Next time I will only order something that is in stock and if the shipment does not take place immediately, the money will be withdrawn from my bank or PayPal immediately.
I am sure there are many people like me, silently following this thread looking for pieces of information to predict their own wait time.
Let me share my story to help them:
- ordered in Dec 2020, #141xx, model A06 4Gb
- got initial shipping notice alert from clockworkpi via email, on Nov 9th. DHL Express shipping
- DHL initiated shipping on Nov 13th, estimated arrival to Nov 17th. Destination New Jersey, USA.
- package was delivered on Nov 15th, today. That’s 2 days shipping Honk Kong to New York to New Jersey, 2 days earlier(!!) than estimated by DHL itself.
Super excited to start assembly, wish everyone else the same flawless delivery!

That’s exactly what I’m saying: whoever orders last, gets first. I ordered a month before you (also A06) and have nothing
What is your order #? Mine was 139xx placed on Nov 23 (24th in China) of last year and I received mine today via DHL (they comes through California and I’m in WA so the west coast might be getting them quicker).

my A06 is also stated to come today, two days earlier than estimated by DHL.

I don’t know why some people seem to expect the devices to arrive in exactly the same order they have been ordered. Everybody should have understood by now that under the current circumstances that is hardly possible. From what I understand, Clockworkpi has transferred all the A06 orders to their shipping partner by now, and I seriously doubt that the shipping partner gives a damn about what order the boxes were ordered in…

@AlexDuan We need an update on the A04 units. You promised a finished OS within a week, which was 10 days ago. What is the status and when will A04s start shipping?

Same! It was scheduled for Wednesday the 17th so it was a nice surprise to get it today. I’m putting it together this evening after first fulfilling my domestic duties for the day.

actually, DHL basically just lied, said they tried to deliver it but no one was home, when i’ve been in my apartment waiting for it. even told them not to require a signature just in case i was out when i got the tracking info last week. hopefully i get it by their original delivery date.
DHL is very hit or miss for me… The irony is I did not consent to release signature requirement and they dropped it off in my porch. I was home but I didn’t have an interaction with the carrier. I really hope you get yours tomorrow or by Wednesday at the latest!

I received my A06 today, two day earlier then expected through DHL. Though I imagine I may have gotten my product sooner than others, I could also imagine that the route from the processing center to the delivery address was much shorter. I figure if even 100 units arrive in the same shipment, they all have seperate routes of delivery, and im not sure logistics care if someone ordered first or not, I would like to believe they ship in the most efficient way possible to all destinations. Yet not all destinations are created equal, neither are circumstances along the delivery route, weather, traffic, scheduling and current underemployment can greatly contribute to delivery mishaps. The packaging is beautiful, and the manual, I thought was wonderful. I may not have time to set her up for a few days but the excitement is even greater now. Thank you clockworkpi, even though the whole process has not been ideal, it has not been the worst case either, and at the end of the day this is a very unique product that I feel immensely grateful for being able to aquire, however long that may have taken.

Mine, #1403xA (A-0604, gray), was departed FedEx in HK just 1 hour before, and is scheduled for delivery by Nov. 18 18:00 JST. I’m very glad to see that the parcel started moving.
I hope others may have updates of delivery, too.
I wholeheartedly agree… the packaging is excellent. It is beautiful and well thought out. Just like with GameShell, the sum of all parts for DevTerm equals a tactile and visual experience. I truly appreciate all the little details… They are not taken for granted!
