yeah that’s just what alex said to many people already, unless you have a tracking number I wouldn’t trust that

I have since bought the black version, minus the 4G LTE module, from https://opensourcesdrlab.com. That took 7 days to arrive. After playing with it for a week, I decided that I am going with both for now. The wait for the first continues for another 8+ months?

I could, but I have one to test out and use for now. Not really in a rush either as I have several other projects taking up my time. And I want a silver case without printing it.
I don’t understand why you’re encouraging customers to cancel their orders and purchase from resellers instead. Those resellers are significantly more expensive, and they’re ultimately purchasing the same products from the seller we originally placed our orders with. It doesn’t seem like a fair or practical solution for customers who have already been waiting.
The customers who have been waiting have the same option. They can get a refund almost immediately and order from a reseller. Even at a 100% markup, I’d rather get the unit in a couple weeks than in a year or more in some cases.

@Toml_12953 @white-round-square I 100% agree with you. My point is that the resellers are also getting their units from the same source. They place much larger bulk orders, and I believe that’s one of the reasons individual customer orders keep getting pushed further back in the queue.
In my opinion, ClockworkPi should balance shipments between individual customers and bulk reseller orders. Customers who ordered directly months ago shouldn’t end up waiting significantly longer while newer bulk orders are fulfilled first.
Otherwise, the pattern is pretty clear. 
I think you’re overestimating the number and volume of reseller orders. It’s a niche product and I don’t think the resellers are constantly ordering hundreds of devices.
To me it looks like clockwork only produces a batch when they’ve sold enough to fill a production batch. And because a batch has to be all the exact same some versions end up waiting way longer than others, despite the differences between the 8 variants being minimal. The only differences are the front panel, extension board and cm4, and some stickers on the box.
I think the real fix is no longer bundling the cm4 or 4g card and selling those separately, that way you only have two variants and wait times become a lot more predictable and fair
but they do not built cm4 pi I am right? they get it from somewhere else.
I am guessing they are shipping several batches using different providers depending on the destination.
In any case guys, all the people with a matte black… it is on its way to be airlifted in the next days I hope! 
time to do nice sensing stuff with these things! and develop stuff! I need to bother the army and the navy soon!

the final step where everything is put in the box has to be a batch that is all the same according to emails from alex and if you look in this thread you see that when stuff is getting shipped it’s often the same variants posting near each other
Alex keeps assuring g me it will be shipped soon. Waiting on China to send the rest of the CM4’s. Ive been waiting since November. I hope to receive my shipping info any day now
