You knowingly purchased a pre-production item without a final ship date via a pre-order. An item that has abundant proof to have now completed manufacturing and is in the process shipping to others that ordered before you in as close to the estimated timeframe as the company can manage showing that orders are being fulfilled in good faith. Seems to me like that information would be sufficient evidence to defeat an FTC fraud claim against a small company that isn’t even within the US.
Maybe you should read something else while you wait for your turn like everyone else here has been? Posting stuff like this can be seen as a vague threat of legal action and make a small company like this that is already struggling to meet the demand of so many people decide that maybe selling fun little toys like the uConsole to people that are going to complain to federal agencies that their toys are late isnt worth all the headache after all.
It’s also worth noting that when someone goes around saying “we all need to refund our money because they went past 90 days!” Well guess what if everyone actually did that then Clockwork would lose all their funding and nobody would get a uConsole. I’ll firmly stand by the fact that you bought into a pre-order and took the risk on your money, you have to deal with the consequences.
Agreed. I’m honestly surprised (maybe I shouldn’t be) that some people seem saltier now than they were before shipping began.
This kind of delay comes with the territory - a few minutes of research before purchasing would have shown that. Yes, communication was not great. Now that units are going out (pretty convincing evidence this is not some elaborate scam), it’s a waiting game.
Anyone wanting a refund should request one and anyone spreading negativity on the forum because they weren’t in the first batch…they should probably reevaluate how they use their time.
I just wanted to see more of how the unit looks assembled in different angles, which I could admittedly partially do, but I’m just going to leave it till I can actually build it. 6 month old puppy to wrangle on the side.
Silver here as well, although I have a black casio watch circa 1982 and the edges are worn through to silver and it is a vibe. Glad I when with silver though since I’m not sure the magnesium will show through bright and shiny as if it were aluminum. idk though
Imagine a rainbow of custom front and back plate colors you could buy as a case replacement kinda like the GameShell has. The black middle chassis would look good no matter what color you order so they could sell that as a separate item and keep the colored plates cheaper, or as part of a full shell swap kit!
I would buy one right now and i don’t even have my uConsole yet!
