“almost ready” 10 days later still crickets. is it literally just Alex working there and he’s having to machine, package and ship each unit?

It is what it is, be patient or get a refund xoxo

Could we please stop posting this sort of comments? They are annoyng and help no one.
What we need is a way to convince this company to come out with a visible, credible plan. Of course we accept further plan adjustments, shall the situation change.
Until now we found out the number out outstanding orders, know how much money they got from us, but know nothing about the state of the production.
About the refunds: this is a rich boy’s game, no one here NEEDS the 100$ or so to buy food. And I doubt that the whole sum is still available for refunds and not invested or gone for salaries. Probably it’s mostly gone as salaries for doing nothing, if I’m cynycal.
Be constructive: how could we get anyting out of CPI: products or information? They are humans as us, we can find the right questions to ask!!

People have asked and they don’t get much back.

Alex seemingly said some later orders would be would be batch 3/4.

No point in getting upset about it if people have tried. Is it fantastic communication? No. Is it the worst communication? No.

I agree to disagree. Short of insults, the communication is as bad as it goes. Short of bancrupcy or a scam, the output of this company is as bad as it goes. This is it.
We still deal with this because they have a de facto monopoly on handheld general purpose computers (you can’t use an iPhone for programming).
And I suspect that a lot of our payments are gone for their salaries while they did exactly nothing. Refunds, you said?

I think that’s a little negative, they have a proven track record for delivering products.

I can understand the frustration but I personally don’t think it’s conducive to anything good.

Refunds have been offered if that’s what you want.

All I’m trying to say is that if you feel this way, don’t support them financially. Don’t let it eat you up inside.

This thread is just ups and downs. Mostly due to lack of consistent clear communication but they are a small team who started not to make huge profits.

Either you are happy to support the cause or you aren’t.

Hang in there, our cool handhelds will be delivered, I’m confident.

It will be that much better when we have them in our hands. It wasn’t that much money it’s worth the wait I’m sure they’re doing the best they can! On a side note that comment about it being only alwx working there was hilarious :joy: imagine if it was just poor Alex there doing it all and dealing with all of us asking the same question every day sheesh!

Calm down everyone! Looking at the update cycle, there will be a new update soon.

Also, at least everyone will have a better situation than me… #22100… The end of my wait is unpredictable.

@AlexDuan thanks for the continued updates. When you have a spare moment, would it be possible to do some sort of post on the teams production plans/process? I think it’d be super helpful for the community to get a peek into your world as well as getting a sense of; how often batches will be prepped, how many in a batch or if batch size ramps up, production revisions and any process around that, etc.

Doesn’t need to be extreme details. I ask mostly because I love to learn more about (small and mass) manufacturing in general but it would also serve to set some expectations with the (excited/impatient) community.

I have tried to ask for this too. I would love to see something like this!
