Pictures do not do the quality of the screen justice.

how good is it?

In all honesty, the screen is pretty sharp and vivid. In this photo, I have the display brightness at around 45%.
For normal use, I usually keep the display brightness at 35%.

Got my uConsole Friday, but was out of town until this evening. Assembly was extremely easy, took about 20 minutes. The adapter was in the box and there were no missing parts. The only quality issue i have is that the silver chrome from the stand has already started flaking, but thats no big deal. As a side note, my oversized protected 18650s fit perfectly.

Sent fom my uConsole

Is there an identifying feature of the order number or something else that will tell you what batch you’re part of as I’ve only just ordered a few days ago. Based on what I’ve been reading, it would seem that it’s 200 units per batch with some orders for 198xx and 199xx still awaiting sending. My order number starts 227xx so that sounds like 4-5 batches away meaning the 90 working days ETA on the product page would really be 120-150 working days or 4-5 months away? (I think).

There’s no way to know from our end. I’ve got order number 194xx and am still awaiting shipping, so just going by order number does not seem to be a valid way of gauging your position in the queue.

I’ve been wondering this too! I have a receipt from Oct 26, 2022 and the “receipt number” (which I presume is what we mean to be the “order number”) is #179X-XXXX for a RPI-CM4 wifi only.

I’m seeing A LOT of folks getting units with a receipt/order number later than mine so I don’t know how batches line up.

Perhaps I’ve just picked it up wrong and others are having crossed wires too. Here’s hoping it’s much earlier than the ETA but would be nice to have it for my couple of weeks off at Xmas haha. I can’t believe I’m in the waiting game again - it’s been a while since the Gameshell days!

it really just depends on your interpretation of “90 days” there are those of us who believe that when a manufacturer says 90 days on their website order page that means 90 days or possibly 90 business days from time of order. Others interpret “90 days” to mean a pre order that will be delivered within 90 days of some arbitrary and unknown production date. Still others believe that time is a human construct and 90 days has no real meaning at all. I have a 206xx order number and emails from Alex that my device would ship in March of this year. I see that devices are being shipped so i don’t feel too terrible about my prospects of actually receiving the product eventually but as I’ve said before the communication from this company in general and especially about batch sizes and ship dates is terrible.terrible, i say…

beepy is out of stock. :expressionless: I really really just need the uConsole to arrive.

I was lucky with both, my Beepy and uConsole arrived within the space of about 3 days of each other (in an attempt to tangentally remain on topic I was a 193xx order and it arrived yesterday (29/08) a week after the shipping notification (22/08)).

Don’t talk to me or my son ever again

And before anyone says anything, yes the screen protectors are still on as I always do a test fit first to make sure I didn’t do anything stupid before removing it. And no the stand isn’t on the uConsole because one of the loops is too small to fit on the lug which is something I’ve contacted Clockwork about

It is always a problem when you get too many toys at the same time. I also have both. I finally got the screws to properly fit the Beepy case and got the software working on it. Now back to the uConsole but I have a CM4S module and need to figure out if I can remap the WiFi to work.

I assume your beepy did not fry like some of us

Hi,

@markatlnk and @Daeraxa I hate you both .

Greetings,
Rene

PS: Of Course not, thanks for the nice picture.

No I’ve been lucky there… it does seem that there is a rather unfortunate flaw in the device…
