@Godzil NUKE IT FROM ORBIT! not in WENSHIP!
Hey , my two cents here - try to find a way to thrive no matter who is in charge - figure that out and then tell others… it’s the best us pawns can do … one of the reasons I tinker and learn electronics, operating systems, networking , communications (LORA - wifi) , solar power, building dc power systems , inverters, ham radio etc - is to try to figure ways to thrive when my reality gets changed by outside forces… and don’t be goaded into lashing out ever! respond - don’t react learn new skills and help others … then master a new one… Appreciate everyone on this thread and what how they pass on what they learn. I’ve gotten into linux command line after years of avoiding it . I was in Houston Texas at a conference and had to drive home (2 day drive) I drove through all kinds of regions on my way home - everywhere I stopped to refuel or grab a meal people where kind to me - we were all wondering what was next - there was a spirit of togetherness I’ve never felt since - it is a shame we have lost our unity. I have more in common with most folks than differences I try to focus on that…
sorry i just found it funny, won’t talk about politics again lol
Nah you are fine. The tweet was an entertaining dumpster fire, its the nonsense talk that happens after that ruins the fun. Plus US politics might be uncomfortable for some as we have lots of non Americans in the community.
Going on a month now with no update from clockwork in the shipping forum. I hope it’s because Alex has been working overtime machining uConsole cases on his old bridgeport and has more than a couple hundred finished and ready to ship. I’d like to have a product in hand before Christmas…of next year.
US politics are uncomfortable for some Americans!!!
fed up with life the universe and everything… going camping weather is mild to chilly … will do wonders for me - taking my DevTerm with the improved ops shield … because why not… it’s not like I’m already taking an linux laptop - two extra screens, camping gear, my ham radio, antenna’s comfy pillows… food … lots of food… peace and great weekend to Wen Ship? !
okay back from camping - and let me say my second(third?) hand Panasonic tough book is the bomb it rained and even under my canopy water spattered everywhere but the tough book is weather proof so I computed on - forgot an important power cable for my HF radio (I loaned it out in June forgot to replace) lessons learned - it did rain but was clear today as I rolled out … sigh… now … what did I miss?
there was an update in the shipping forum from alex. they’re apparently sending out another batch (how many? who knows?!) of some unspecified model(s)? and may even have another batch ready to go shorty after this one.
Thanks I was being dramatic - but that is a really good summary of the other thread - I don’t know the worst part of camping - packing to go, or unpacking once you are home - I really need to be have 4-5 days to make it worth the effort these weekend trips are a great deal of work for little benefit - 4 days is about optimal day 1 pack and setup , 2 days of relaxation then day 4 break camp, come home and unpack. Some say I overdo the packing but cooking meals, staying healthy while camping and having proper shelter take putting together some equipment . I usually take my ham radio gear as well which involves a computer and possible a second monitor…
You mean you don’t just take the important/perishable stuff out of the car when you get home and leave the rest for a couple weeks saying “Ill get to it later” like everyone else? You absolute mad man!
and here i was thinking that was just me
actually i have a powered camping cooler … Icould just plug it into power and leave it till everything molded … but that’s just not the way I rolll - I brought in clothes, food etc but the rest will have to wait till this weekend so - I’m kind of in between…
Happy Friday everyone - hope everyone has a relaxing weekend as we eagerly await an email from Clockwork with a tracking number - cheers!
Welp, I officially threw in the towel today and requested a refund. It’s been a year since I ordered. Bye everyone.
I’m so sad and disheartened with the whole process - the DevTerm delivery slipped it was understandable - Covid 19… this? supply chain issues? things are shipping faster now than they have for six months… maybe I’m just stubborn… but I plan to stick it out - but I understand your frustration…
Got shipping tracking from FedEx today. OrderNo #199XX, CM4+LTE
Promised delivery on Friday
I didnt think it had gone up for pre-order until October? Either way, good luck. I hope you still stick around the forums, ive really enjoyed the prototypes and info you have shared.
