No, i am someone who has done business with Chinese electronics suppliers for 20+ years both professionally and personally. Not sure what you exactly mean to be honest. Sounds a bit immature - may i ask how old you are?

I don’t care who you are and I don’t want to know what you’ve done in your life. You could be the 15-year-old son of the CEO of Clockwork LLC trolling customers for what I know.

You are writing here in this forum trying to justify and defend a company (or a single person?) that sells devices that for sure can NOT ship. Are you a representative of Clockwork?
Do they pay you for that? So what do you want exactly here?

this seems like the absolute watershed moment on this thread. having been subscribed to email updates on this thread specifically, i no longer see the use in it; from being a friendly place online where people share their experiences of waiting, give useful tips and info, this has, as said above, become a complete shitshow.

i mean, i’ve had a lot happen over the past few months – my apartment building exploded, trips all over, work, family, the ongoing inability to return home because of mounting political pressure on artists, so saying that i don’t have a life would be untrue, and i’m sure this goes for a lot of people on here – they’re here because they don’t have the console itself, but they have an online community of people to joke around with and talk to while waiting.

all for expressing dissatisfaction with the way clockwork handles things and not being defensive towards a company, but completely against going berserk over a piece of kit on the internet (and this goes both ways).

be nice for once. we’re all annoyed due to a slight inconvenience, nothing more.

Just kidding, to be fair, I am too waiting for an order like many other people here but not as long. (6 weeks so far, order 272xx) It is an indy company and I don’t expect them to deliver fast since they don’t ask much for what they offer, they probably don’t have a solid supply chain, can’t take much risk since margins aren’t that high but I can agree with what you say that they need more transparency.

I would have paid gladly more for the same product if it delivered faster since there nothing else that does the same thing on the market (no, open stuff, build it yourself, order separate parts yourself to different manufacturers is not worth my time).

It is what it is, if you feel you’re being deceived, just ask for refund, everything says they will refund you or just ask a paypal refund like you said.

I think that if they didn’t take orders (and the full amount of $$$) that they couldn’t fulfill, there wouldn’t have been problems. Since they took all the money and gave customers a time horizon, people expect promises to be kept.
That’s all. Does not care if you are a small or a big company or a startup. I expect that you do what you said when you took my money.

Instead, I heard only b*******s about “batches” from them until now. And there are people waiting more than a year here. So what?

It’s fair to say we’d all prefer to have already received our orders. I get it!

But honestly this hate and anger is being directed towards the wrong group - we’re all consumers! What was a thread full of useful speculation about shipping timelines is now just angry venting.

Request your refund through whatever means you wish, leave a cranky 1-star review somewhere and move on.

You and I will have a better time for it.

For what it’s worth, I’m still very excited for my uconsole!

As said, everyone is free to be happily teased. Weeks, months, years, decades…
And as you said, here are consumers.
Paying consumers.
Not lawyers working for Clockwork LLC.
Usually when consumers are tricked by a company they complain, not the opposite.
Complain, understand? So that other consumers are warned. That’s the consumism, baby.

For me the thing that is annoying is the lack of info, (last update is from 19/2/2024).
No order status, no registered account and no follow ups, it seems that a basic prestashop can do all of this stuff by default.
And if ClockworkPi operates with batches then a simple message : “x batche(s) before you” is not so complicated to do.

If customers are kept constantly informed and not fooled, delays are much more bearable.
They are acting like scammers or early 2000s amateur online shops.

Yes, I value as much as you when promises are met is what makes companies worthy of trust. That being said, it is a startup and I don’t feel like our expectations should be sky-high. But, it is on them if they would or not to fulfill that many orders in a short amount of time. (I do really think the demand is really that high and they don’t have the resources)

If they would charge more for the same product, they would probably have more funds for better relationships with suppliers and in turn, having better delivery.

In the end, it is experience and I hope they will learn from that.

Update. Ordered Jan 31, cm4, silver, no core (this seems to be the fastest shipping setup) . Fedex tracking suggests it will arrive next Friday. Less than 90 days! Order #268xx.
While waiting - great communication with Alex from clockwork. May order a second one after i got this

顧客の需要にどうにか応えようとしている業者を責めることはできるだけしたくない。
でも、業者の側ももっと小まめに情報を、悲観的なことでもいいから出してほしい。
